wpg property teams support retailers while helping their communities get ready to go back to school

Back-to-school season is an important time for retailers and shoppers alike. wpg property teams spent the end of summer supporting retailers and community outreach efforts to make sure students in their area have the supplies they need when they go back to the classroom.

Several properties, including Weberstown Mall in Stockton, California and Clay Terrace in Carmel, Indiana, held “Back 2 School” bashes. Shoppers were able to shop back-to-school promotions from participating retailers, as well as enjoy free, family-friendly entertainment like a Touch-A-Truck display, face painting, and crafts.

wpg back-to-school events also included school supply drives. Properties across the country, including Mesa Mall in Grand Junction, Colorado, Polaris Fashion Place in Columbus, Ohio, and Pearlridge Center in Aiea, Hawaii, collected and distributed thousands of backpacks, crayons, folders and notebooks to students in their communities.

Town Center at Aurora in Aurora, Colorado held a back-to-school fashion show. Volunteer models walked the runway in some of the hottest trends for the new school year. The outfits showcased on the runway came from retailers at Town Center at Aurora including Dillard’s, Macy’s, and JCPenney.

Property teams also supported retailers during Tax Free weekends through back-to-school digital campaigns and printed displays.

wpg wishes everyone a great school year!
