Team WPG celebrates 11th year of Pelotonia fundraising and participation

After celebrating two major milestones last year: 10 years riding and $500,000 in funds raised, Team WPG was eager to start fundraising again in 2022. Coming off of the 14th annual ride weekend, Aug. 5-7, Team WPG is proud to have raised more than $18,000 so far this year in support of cancer research. Members of the 2022 Team WPG include Steve Gerber, Nikki Smith, Stephen Hardy, Ron Clegg, Debbie Weakley, Kimberly Flaherty, Kimberly Ferracane-Gonzalez, Walter Meeks, Jennifer Moretti, Stephanie Interliggi, Emilie DiFranco, and Jenna Mink.

Pelotonia, the grassroots cycling event held each year in Columbus, Ohio, is one of WPG’s signature causes. Founded in 2008, Pelotonia aims to fund innovative cancer research. At the center of its year-round fundraising efforts is a three-day experience that includes a weekend of cycling, entertainment, and volunteerism. Since its founding, Pelotonia has raised over $250 million for cancer research.

As a company, WPG believes in giving back to local communities and raising awareness for cancer research. After over a decade participating in Pelotonia, WPG is proud to have raised more than $519,000. Dozens of current WPG colleagues have participated in Pelotonia at some point over the last 11 years as riders, volunteers, or donors.

While Team WPG is already looking forward to getting on the road next year, fundraising for Pelotonia 2022 remains open through October. If you’d like to learn more about Pelotonia or support Team WPG, check out the team page.
